BE PREPARED – Come prepared to complete the merit badge. This opportunity requires that you prepare most of your work before coming to the EXPO.   We have offered this merit badge in the past and some scouts came un-prepared and only earned a “partial”.  There will be Engineers and Professionals at the EXPO who can help you answer several requirements that ask you to discuss and talk with Engineers about their work

PRE-REGISTRATION  -
There are TWO separate registrations required for the Merit Badge.

SCOUTS MUST REGISTER on the  beanengineer.org    web page.  Provide the following:

  • Your Name
  • Troop number
  • Town or City and State
  • District and Council
  • Your age and rank
  • Your email address
  • Your parent’s name and their email address (if different)

SCOUTS MUST ALSO REGISTER with the Merit Badge Counselor-Coordinator at gpeborde.pe@gmail.com.  You must send him the same information as above.  In return, he will send you a special registration number and a packet of information via email.

No Scout will be permitted to sit with a Counselor without the special registration number issued by the Merit Badge Counselor-Coordinator.

GET THE UPDATED MERIT BADGE PAMPHLET FROM YOUR TROOP LIBRARY OR YOUR SCOUT SHOP  Most, if not all of the answers to the requirements that you need to prepare in advance, are answered in the pamphlet.
